Living Archives: Mapping Memory, Place, and Public Art

My digital mapping and 3D scanning work focuses on the preservation and accessibility of public art and cultural sites. Using high-resolution technologies, I create “digital twins” that capture artworks as they exist in time and space—forming living archives of cultural memory and community history.

This work is rooted in my broader practice of public art advocacy and organizing. I collaborate with artists, communities, and city leadership to protect murals and cultural assets at risk of removal or neglect, while contributing to policy efforts that support inventories, maintenance, and preservation aligned with VARA and CAPA.

These digital archives function as both preservation and advocacy—strengthening accountability while expanding public access through interactive tours, storytelling, and open cultural resources.
