CHOCOLATóN

CHOCOLATóN is a community-centered project rooted in the healing power of ancestral food traditions, where hot chocolate becomes a vessel for gathering, storytelling, and collective care in the aftermath of COVID-19. Through a series of public pop-ups across Santa Ana, participants were invited to share space, honor loved ones, and reflect on loss, resilience, and survival.

This video captures the culmination of that process—an intimate archive of handwritten notes left behind by participants. Each message holds memory and presence, transforming individual experiences into a collective offering. Together, these fragments become a living testament to grief, healing, and the power of community to hold one another through moments of rupture.
