CHOCOLATóN

Community Engagement and Exhibition, Fall - 2023
Santa Ana, CA
(Funded through a grant by the Andy Warhol Foundation and the City of Santa Ana)
CHOCOLATóN is a community engagement art project and exhibit inspired by the healing powers and ancestral food traditions of hot chocolate.
The city of Santa Ana has been one of the most impacted cities with fatalities due to Covid-19. As we start to rebuild, and re-imagine how to move forward as a city and overcome all these challenges, we must first go through a collective healing. A moment in time where we can not only grieve loss but also share our stories, with open heartfelt conversations and celebrations of life of loved ones lost. Creating safe spaces by utilizing our green spaces and open air to gather, get to know eachother better, heal and remember that we are not alone in our pain. We are together in our resilience.
Hot Chocolate Pop Ups will be open to the public upon registering.
